Does liking womens shoes make me gay / or a cross dresser?
Hello, I am a 27 year old male, I work a decent job, and have alot of friends. where I difer from most "normal" people is, I have a womans shoe fetish, I love womens shoes, I own upwards of 20 pairs, everything from flats I bought at walmart, to 6" patent leather stiletos and knee high - high heel platform boots, and I wear a pair everynight from the time I get home from work til I go to bed, difrent shoes on difrent nights depending what sort of mood I am in, Ill admit, it always has been a bit of a turn on, but more or less I just like the way they look and feel. I have never had sex with another male, I have never dressed up in any womens clothes other then shoes, not even nylons / pantyhose, the other day I accidently left my shoe cabinet unlocked and my friend found them, her first thought was I didnt know you were gay, it was hard to explain to her I was not gay or a cross dresser I just liked them, she thought otherwise. does this make me gay or a cross dresser?

- If you're not wearing other women's attire then I think you probably aren't a cross dresser in the usual sense. You're just a guy with a fetish for nice shoes. As for being gay, whether you wear women's shoes, men's shoes, horse shoes or go barefoot has not bearing on your sexuality. Do you find yourself only sexually attracted to other men? If so, you are gay, if not then you are probably not gay. Your friend's reaction was a typically uninformed one. The majority of gay men do not wear women's shoes. She was probably put out because your shoe collection was nicer than hers. Don't be ashamed of this - you have nothing to be ashamed about. If you are attracted to women, you should try and find a fetish club. There are plenty of women who like guys who dress up.

- I know this has been said, but I think it's more of a fetish. And shoe/feet fetishes are some of the more common. I know it's hard to explain to somebody that might not share that feeling, and you don't have too. Every person has their kinks, and I don't think this makes you gay, or CD. - No you are not gay, or a cross dresser. You like women's shoes, so do I; there is more variety than men's shoes and they look great. Do whatever you like in your own home but be careful if you wear them outdoors; not everyone will be understanding
- It sounds like you just have a shoe fetish. Because its womens shoes that you're into, you are technically a crossdresser, but men who crossdress have many different tastes, reasons, and items they like. And no, wearing womens shoes or clothes doesn't make you gay. The overwhelming majority of men who crossdress, or in your case wear womens shoes, are straight. I like to crossdress on occasion, but my main fav womens item are nylons. I'm 100% straight and have a girlfriend who knows and actually likes it. But I know where you're coming from on the whole "are you gay" thing. It shows how some people can be pretty ignorant about it. You know you're not gay, and that's really all that matters. If you like to wear womens shoes, then enjoy. Just remember that there's a time and place, and like any fetish don't let it get to the point where it interferes with the rest of your life.
