Can you wear black shoes with a brown dress?

- That's a nice dress. It's best to ask a salesperson at the store, they might have the matching shoes. Hey, I was thinking of the same shoe but with a slimmer heel. It's good to keep things in proportion. The belt is very slim, so I'd go with a slimmer heel. That particular heel might make you look shorter than taller. I hope you didn't take that in a negative way.

- the brown dress is nice. however, the shoes should be brown also. Black and brown don't go well together. the shoes come in either brown suede or leather, just get them in brown.
- no. you cannot wear black shoes with a brown dress. Just buy a dark brown shoe to match that dress.
- Don't do it. Trust me on this one. There has to be an extreme exception to wear black shoes with a mainly brown dress and there's no exception here. The style of the shoe is great, but your shoes should be brown.
- can you? yes, it is possible to do so. most people would feel you were not very well put together. depending upon styles and shades of the items involved, you might get by with using matching black shoes, bag, belt, and possibly a piece of black jewelry. then it would be a fashion statement.
- sure - just accessorize! Wear a black watch and carry a black purse when you wear you black shoes. I don't know if a belt or scarf or jewelry would go with the type of dress you want to wear but have fun with it and make it work! Note - don't go overboard. 3-4 pieces should be enough also you could try a little bit of lace showing from underneath the dress.
